Donations Record
This years Poppy Appeal total for Lowestoft is currently at a record breaking £42,234.00.
The Lowestoft and District Branch of The Royal British Legion would like to thank the people of Lowestoft for their unstinting generosity and support for our Armed Forces.
All of our appeal funds go towards helping both the serving and ex-service community when in need. From rest homes and respite centres for ageing veterans to funding recovery centres for injured servicemen and women. This year alone, the Legion will spend more than £72 million providing assistance to over 160,000 serving and ex-serving Armed Forces personnel and their families, as well as campaigning on their behalf. This equates to well over £1 million every week. Welfare is at the heart of everything we do. If you are currently serving in the Armed Forces, an ex-Serviceman or woman or a dependant in need, please call Legionline on 08457 725 725.
If you would like to join the Legion or just offer a few hours of your time during the Poppy Appeal please telephone 01284 725 833 or e-mail: suffolk@britishlegion.org.uk
